The Escape Artists EP is 15 minutes of passionate lyrics propped up by a burst of furious drumming and searing guitars. The 7 inch includes three originals and a solid cover. Though there are no weak tracks on the EP, the opener “Slightest Sleight of Hand” is the career-defining song, sounding instantly like a classic on first listen. The band is clearly influenced by a slew of groups, of all genres, mixing the ferocity of a band like HOT WATER MUSIC with the lyrical knack of THE CLASH. KNOW YOUR SAINTS indeed.
